Welcome to Expo 2020 Dubai

Expo 2020 is said to be the largest event taking place in the UAE. If you are from the UAE or traveling from abroad to attend Dubai Expo 2020, this is your definitive go-to guide. Expo 2020 was set to commence in Dubai in October 2020. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the dates of Expo 2020 Dubai have officially changed to 1st October 2021 - 31st March 2022. The event will keep the name "Expo 2020 Dubai".

6 Months

Expo 2020 Dubai opens its doors to the world on 1 October 2021, running for a period of six months.

7 Days a week

The event will be open for more than 2,500 hours, with weekend visitors able to explore the site until 2am.

60 Live shows daily

Every day will be filled with a host of live events, from music and dance to poetry slams, culinary tours and lectures. Pop stars, inspirational public figures and tech innovators are all expected to be present.

3 Themes

The Expo revolves around three central themes: Opportunity, Sustainability and Mobility. Each has a dedicated pavilion that will explore global issues such as climate change, healthcare, migration and equal access to education, in the hope of encouraging solutions for the future.

180+ Countries

Countries from six continents will be represented at the Expo. Many have their own pavilion showcasing the nation’s culture and innovations -- from the UK’s, which is inspired by late scientist Stephen Hawking, to Brazil’s, which recreates the sights and sounds of the Amazon basin.

200 food and drink outlets

Visitors will be able to taste cuisine from all corners of the world at the bars and restaurants scattered across the site.

5 years of construction

Development of the Expo space began in March 2016. Since then, more than 225 million work hours have been completed on the sprawling 438-hectare site.
